STEP 1
First, imagine a training goal for yourself (try a short-term goal to start if needed, such as, “improve my shot,” “develop a consistent shooting practice,” “learn how to clear the action of a handgun”)
STEP 2.
Next, download, print, and complete the SMART goal worksheet here to better understand, and map how you can meet, your short-term goal.
***Read more about making SMART goals here.***
STEP 3.
Third, register to attend a free AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMEN’S GUN VILLAGE range event to execute your training plan, step by step….
STEP 4.
Send me your goal worksheet at nefertiti[dot]mshalefaster[at]gmail[dot]com, so that I can have an idea of what you would like to work on at the event. If you like, I can help, to suggest some next steps.
STEP 4.5…
Show up to your scheduled Ladies’ Day range event! Document and share your training experiences with the hashtag #mshalfefaster or #2awgv. 🙂
The 4 Universal Rules of Gun Safety:
1. The gun is always loaded! In the event that you are certain the gun is not loaded, read the first part of this rule again.
2. Never point the gun’s muzzle at anything you are not ready and willing to kill, maim, damage, or completely destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
4. Know your target and what is beyond your target (for example, behind your target is a wall, and behind that wall is a bedroom. If you don’t know who or what is in that bedroom, you don’t know what is beyond your target).
